Project Description

At the request of many members, diving made a comeback as a sport in the Stockholm Student's IF in autumn 2016. The training is conducted at Eriksdalsbadet's swimming pool where we also have access to the adjacent gymnasium for dry training.

Participation in Step 1 or equivalent is necessary for security reasons to register for the more advanced passports within the SSIF All-In.

Here you will learn the necessary basics for the advanced steps of the later steps. We practice jumping techniques, foot jumps and falls, the difference between straight, grouped and cock, and learn how to handle the lower heights and the trampoline.

Each training session consists of about 30 minutes of initial dry training and then about 60 minutes of jumping in the pool. Dry training consists of various gymnastic exercises and jumps that strengthen your muscles so that you can perform technically correct jumps in the water. Participation in the pass requires, for safety reasons, previous experience of swimming. See info below "level" to find info about what the different steps mean.

The pass is usually mixed with both girls and boys. Our training is aimed at adults, whether they are students or not, but everyone over the age of 16 is welcome and university students have a discount. We do not conduct any competition activities.
